PHASE I: INITIAL EVALUATION/DIAGNOSIS

To provide a precise psychiatric diagnosis, each patient is given a thorough psychiatric evaluation. Detailed family history and medical history is taken in order to identify generic patterns and symptoms of mood disorder and recommendations are made regarding further evaluations, medications and therapy. In addition to the initial psychiatric evaluation, a physical examination with EKG and blood tests are  sometimes required.

PHASE II : PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY AND PSYCHOTHERAPY

Based on the findings of the initial evaluation, our staff might request weekly psychopharmacological follow-up visits to adjust medication as necessary in order to achieve the desired therapeutic results. For patients who wish to discuss problem areas of their lives, Standard or Cognitive Psychotherapy is also available by our NP's and MD's. A combination of talk therapy and medication management may be necessary to achieve optimal results.

PHASE III: PROGRESS ASSESSMENT

In this phase of treatment the patient‘s overall mood and behavioral responses are evaluated for signs of improvement and/or change. Progress is recorded and analyzed with the patient and overall treatment is adjusted accordingly. A new or continued treatment plan will be discussed so targets are met. Our compassionate practitioners thrive on having patient meet there goals which is very rewarding for out patients and practitioners.
